Why the fantasy movies?

Yes, what's up with so many fantasy, or sort of related to fantasy kind of movie? I know of 4 such movies coming out this holiday. Of which, 2 are already showing in cinemas and out of all of them, they all look kind of cool. Haha. But no, I haven't watched them yet, though I am contemplating of going to catch them soon.

STARDUST

I've heard many people comment about how nice the movie is. Well, the title made me think it is a really corny movie. I mean, typical fantasy. Well, I suppose, nowadays fantasy is up to a higher level. No more fairytale endings and such. It has more action nowadays.

BEOWULF

Well, Beowulf is not exactly rated under the fantasy category, but well, it is something along the lines of the other world, imaginary world. With dragons and stuff. Well, heard that the plot of the story is lame. But well, I'm not here to tell you to or not to watch the movie.

ENCHANTED

OK, yes the damn title sounds corny. And yes, the movie is a corny one. I mean fairytale world fallen into our real world in New York? Cartoon to real life? How much cornier can it be? But, well, I'm only talking about fantasy movies and complaining why so many of such is coming out. Anyway, if you want a laugh of a good time, you should catch Enchanted despite how corny the title sounds. It looks like a great and funny movie to relax and enjoy your holidays.

THE GOLDEN COMPASS

Yes, this is the movie I WANT TO WATCH! But it's only out next month. So I shall keep myself occupied with the other fantasy related movies. Anyway, I won't be exclaiming much about this movie.
