I didn't know Utada Hikaru sings english songs. In fact she sing GREAT gothic english songs! It's from her 2004 album EXODUS. If I am not wrong, she wrote these songs herself. Finally out of the house

ECP with Vanessa and Sockz was erm ...


Quite regretful. To Sockz I mean. Cause I actually decided to rollar blade instead of cycle. In the end I moved slower than a snail. Screaming a lot when I am going to fall down. Haha. Sockz must have regretted convincing me to blade instead of cycle. I took 40 minutes to move the length of the rental store.

We had lunch, before heading to parkway as Vanessa wanted to search for a job, but in vain. Then we went to Face Shop where I bought 3 nail polish, a polish remover, and snail shaper. I bought a yellow, pink and clear top polish. =D

After that we headed to Tampines Mall as there was a walk in interview at a Japanese restaurant. But she still didn't get the job. Then we went to Century Square where I bought a pair of slippers and shoes. =D

Now, must start on homework. :(

Last day of fun ... at least for me.

Today's the unofficial last day for me to have fun. Well, it's unofficial cause I still have one more month of holiday but I've decided to set aside one month for me to work hard for the year ahead.

And finally, I'm leaving the house on the last day I let myself to have fun. I'm meeting Vann and Sockz at 9am to go to ECP. I will be cycling while they will be blading. Well, I suck at blading. I blade slower than I walk, so I might as well walk right? Haha.

I better make use of the time to have fun, before I start attacking my homework and start studying. That's what I hate about holidays. Too much homework, with no mood to do it at all.

My list of homework:

• Physic TYS for 13 topics and question
• GP 2003 JC2 JCT and Prelim Exam Papers
• 22 pages of Chem Holiday Assignment
• 4 Assignments, consisting of 10 pages and 82 questions for Maths, plus YJC and NJC promo papers
• Reading The Handmaid's Tale and trying to compare with The Tempest

Test when school reopens:

• Physics MCQ test during 1st lecture slot
• Chem lecture test in the 1st week.
  

Things I hope to do this holiday:

• Revisit Pride and Prejudice & The Tempest and practice a few essay questions
• Do something about my poor literature skills
• Restudy the whole of my JC1 maths since I scored a 17 out of 100 for my Promos.
• Study for Chem and Physics lecture tests!
  

DAMN! I think the teachers are all trying to kill us. Look at the amount of work! I think I'll need one week full 12 hours per day in order to finish up all I need to do for EACH subject, which includes homework and my self goals for the hols. So I have to really be ON TASK this December. I really need to buck up. I've been slacking for ONE month already. Somebody need to ensure I really start working hard. My usual studying mac place in Bedok closed down, so now I need to find another studying area. Home is definitely not the place. And I want to try and stay off fast food restaurants, they just make me hungry. Maybe I'll try the library. Or some cafe. I'll think about it another time. Now I'm really fretting about the amount of work I have.

Korean Dramas ...

OK, what's up with Korean Drama and their similar elements. Haha. OK since we're on the topic of Korean, I shall divert from the Drama part for a bit.

I have decided that my Korean name shall be ...

이준영

Well, it is closest to my name. Lee Joon Young (Lee Jun Yeong) vs Lee Jun Ying. I means it sounds close. But I'm not sure if it is a girls or guys name. But well, I'm trying to keep it closes to my name and I even manage to keep my surname. =D Any Koreans or people who understand Korean (DELIA!!!) can tell me?

Now you can see what boredom is driving me to. I'm even starting to learn Korean. Just starting this evening so you can't expect me to be pro. And I'm learning from the internet. At least I can read Korean words, at slower than a snail's pace. But I'm trying.

Anyway, back to topic. Wait wait wait ...

OK, too much diverting. I need to go back to my topic of Korean Dramas and their similar elements. So similar plots too. Haha.

Kim Sam Soon (Kim Sun Ah) is a baker [poor] and is slightly plump.
Meets Hyun Jin Hun (Hyun Bin) who is a restaurant owner [rich].
Both of them always bicker and dislike each other.
Jin Hun's pretty and thin ex-gf, Yoo Hee-jin (Jung Ryu Won) who left him 2 years ago is back and wants to go back to his side.
Sam Soon and Jin Hun soon find themselves falling in love with each other

Winter Sonata (겨울연가)

This is a long story to tell, so I'll just give the roles.
Joon-sang (Bae Yong Jun) as the male protagonist.
Yu-jin (Choi Ji Woo) as the female protagonist.
Chelin (Park Sol Mi) as pretty ex girlfriend.
Sang-hyuk (Park Yong Ha) as guy who likes Yu-jin.
The hating exist and falling in love is also present, but well, it's a long story.

Be Strong Geum Soon (굳세어라 금순아)

Geum-soon (Han Hye Jin) is the poor girl who marries after getting pregnant, but her husband dies after a few of days of her marriage.
Jae-hee (Kang Ji Hwan) is the doctor, also the son of the owner of the hair salon that Geum-soon works in.
Jae-hee can't stand Geum-soon, but Geum-soon is fine with him. But he slowly finds himself falling for her. She doesn't think of going into a relationship because she has a child but they work things out and get together.
Eun-joo (Lee Se Eun) is a childhood friend of Jae-hee who is also in love with him. Both of them tried going out together before. She always tries to get him to fall in love with her too.

• Tada, poor girl, rich guy. Dislike, falls in love and the girl who likes the guy.

Full House (풀하우스)

Young Jae (Rain), the rich actor / movie star.
Ji Eun (Song Hye Gyo), the poor girl who got cheated of all her money.
Both of them get into a contract marriage even though they dislike each other. They then soon find themselves really falling in love with each other.
Hye Won (Han Eun Jung), the girl Young Jae used to liked, but after her failed wooing of Min Jyuk, she tries to get Young Jae instead.
Min Hyuk (Kim Sung Soo), a playboy, but falls in love with Ji Eun.

• See, all the plots are around there. Rich guy, poor girl, pretty and rich girl who like guy. Another guy who likes the girl.

My Girl (마이걸)

Yu-rin (Lee Da-hae) is the poor girl who lies a lot in times of need.
Gong-chan (Lee Dong-wook) is the rich guy, director of the best hotel in Korea.
Gong-chan employs Yu-rin to become his fake cousin so that he can save the life of his dying grandfather. They both cannot stand each other. One cannot stand the other for her lying, the other for his stuck up attitude. But they soon find themselves falling in love with each other in a very bad situation.
Seo-hyun (Park Si Yeon), the famous tennis player who is also the ex girlfriend of Gong-chan as she left him for 2 years for her tennis career, they get back together, but then breaks up. However she continues to try and get him back.
Jung-woo (Lee Joon Ki), best friend of Gong-chan, a playboy, but falls in love with Yu-rin and do a lot of things to try and get her. Also stay by her side.

Goong 궁

Chae-kyung (Yoon Eun Hye) as the poor girl.
Shin (Joo Ji Hoon), the crown prince.
Both of them are arranged to be marriage under a promise by their grandfathers years ago. They dislike each other, but yes soon falls in love with each other.
Hyo-rin (Song Ji Hyo), the pretty ex girlfriend of Shin, who also rejects his marriage proposal for her ballet career, but is still in love with Shin and regrets rejecting his proposal
Yul (Kim Jeong Hoon), the intended crown prince but due to the death of his father, he was kicked out of the palace. He is still a prince. He falls in love with Chae-kyung. One of the reason is that she is suppose to be his wife. He constantly stays by Chae-kyung's side when she is sad.

All the similar plots. See what I mean. That's 7 Korean Dramas in all. Well, that's the only 7 that I've watched. I might update on this after watching other Dramas.


I haven't left my home since I came back for SLC. That's like more than one week. OMG I have no life. But at least I get to save m0ney. And I'm a slacker, I haven't started on study or my homework. I will start studying once November end.

BORED STIFF !!!

Yes, I'm bored stiff at home.

I've been watching drama series after another. And it has become unhealthy cause I'm staying up late into the night to watch them. The day before SLC I even stayed up late in order to finish up my drama serial. However, I haven't watch much since there are so many episodes in one series. And I am not watching the latest drama serial which everyone is crazy about such as Romantic Princess, I'm watching old series that date 2002 onwards.

So far, I've watched Full House, Reaching for the Stars <<真命天女>>, Mr Fighting <<格鬥天王>> and I've just finish The Rose <<蔷薇之恋>>. Yes, a bit old and late to watch these series. OK, I'm LAG! Now I still have My Girl, 18 VS 29 and The Vineyard Man waiting for me to watch. I also watched the movie My Girl and I. OMG! I think I'm becoming a drama serial addict.

I LOVE the show THE ROSE !!!

It's a 2002 Taiwanese Drama starring Ella, Huang Zhi Wei, Joe Cheng and Joelle Lu. I have no idea why Hebe and Selina's face are on the cover of the drama series as they acted so little in the show. This show made me cry for at least ONCE every episode. Sometimes it makes me cry for a few time. Plus I am having a The Rose marathon which means having to watch around 10 episodes a day. That means I cried more than 10 times a day. That explains why I keep refilling my cup with water. Haha. It's a lovely show. Though it's quite INCEST and DISTURBING at certain points. Especially at the start, but I suppose you'll get use to it over time.


OK, I seriously need to get out of the house to have some fresh air. Shall sms a few buds later to catch up. I.AM.BORED. Maybe I'll go to the library. I'm not even sure if I'm meeting Fruit Cake tomorrow or not. Vincent says he has $$$ problem. =.=

I feel like typing in Chinese, sorry for those who don't understand.


爱一个人，真的好痛苦。尤其是当你爱上一个不爱你的人。我可能就是看太多电视剧了，看到太多但脸的情形。而自己又了解这种爱而不被爱的感觉，所以当我看这些电视剧时，就能生生体会到电视剧中的人物单恋着的痛苦和想法。看着他们为爱而哭泣，我也无法控制我的眼泪的掉落。当他们感到心如刀割时，我割一样能够感觉到他们那痛苦的心情。

要爱一个人，真的好难。爱情通常比想象中更难。要去爱一个人，表面上好像好容易，但当你真正的去爱一个人，你会感受到爱的痛苦。爱一个人，需要付出，需要牺牲。而且当你爱上了一个人，那个人不一定也会爱上你。但是，爱就是最痛苦了。而但两个人彼此相爱，他们也不一定会有幸福，又是爱情中难免会有很多挫折要面对。

你们有没有看过电视剧中的爱情故事？在电影中，电视剧中，每一个爱情故事会开始很痛苦，可是它们一定会有一个完美的结局。而往往，我们看着那完美的结局，忽略了那默默的爱着，又没有得到爱的回报的一个人。你就会想吧，在你看过的电影，电视剧中，是不是有个人默默的爱着。爱得那么痛苦，却牺牲了爱情，让心爱的人找到幸福。他们好痛苦。爱得那么声，却得不到什么回报。


咳！我是看太多电视剧了啦。我刚刚看了一部，每一集都让我哭的电视剧。好感人，好。。。我还是用英文形容好了。因该使用“disturbing” 和 “incest” 这两个字来形容吧。但是它也是一部好感人的电视剧。

Why the fantasy movies?

Yes, what's up with so many fantasy, or sort of related to fantasy kind of movie? I know of 4 such movies coming out this holiday. Of which, 2 are already showing in cinemas and out of all of them, they all look kind of cool. Haha. But no, I haven't watched them yet, though I am contemplating of going to catch them soon.

STARDUST

I've heard many people comment about how nice the movie is. Well, the title made me think it is a really corny movie. I mean, typical fantasy. Well, I suppose, nowadays fantasy is up to a higher level. No more fairytale endings and such. It has more action nowadays.

BEOWULF

Well, Beowulf is not exactly rated under the fantasy category, but well, it is something along the lines of the other world, imaginary world. With dragons and stuff. Well, heard that the plot of the story is lame. But well, I'm not here to tell you to or not to watch the movie.

ENCHANTED

OK, yes the damn title sounds corny. And yes, the movie is a corny one. I mean fairytale world fallen into our real world in New York? Cartoon to real life? How much cornier can it be? But, well, I'm only talking about fantasy movies and complaining why so many of such is coming out. Anyway, if you want a laugh of a good time, you should catch Enchanted despite how corny the title sounds. It looks like a great and funny movie to relax and enjoy your holidays.

THE GOLDEN COMPASS

Yes, this is the movie I WANT TO WATCH! But it's only out next month. So I shall keep myself occupied with the other fantasy related movies. Anyway, I won't be exclaiming much about this movie. So, SLC does not = Slack Like Crazy. In fact it is not exactly the opposite, but somewhere in between. Well, it was fun. It had its tiring times, and it has it's slacking with nothing to do at all times.

TUESDAY:

Went to school early in the morning for Temasek Congress. Had talks talks and more talks. I slept late the previous night and many other nights before plus waking up early in the morning. And then I am greeted by so many talks. They made me want to sleep, even though the speakers were engaging. It wasn't their fault, it was mine. It was damn boring. Even the games weren't that fun. So let's get over the boring stuff. Haha.

Anyway, I ended up in Coolbeans group C3. And guess what? Yu Lan and Cui Shan were in the same group as me. That was damn cool. Three BGPS 6/2'02 people were in the same group. Varun was also in Coolbeans. So that means four 6/2 people in group C. Haha. And if I am not wrong, we were also the only 4 BGPS people at SLC.

At night we finally set off to Malaysia. The coach ride was long boring and it was a BAD place to sleep. I hardly got any sleep. I kept shifting positions.

WEDNESDAY:

So we finally arrived at Ipoh. Check out the mountain, rivers and the wilderness. GET CLOSE TO NATURE. xD

OK, I didn't take anymore photos since all the activities involved water and I didn't waterproof my camera. Anyway, 1st up, CAVING !!!

Caving was well, interesting. I mean it was the 1st time I went into a cave. So well, interesting. The guide was really funny. The cave was DARK!!!! In there, when all the lights were turned off, it was pitch dark. Exactly the same when there was a blackout at TPJC's Black Box. I'm sure all the Theatre Studies people would remember how cool the blackout was. Total Pitch Darkness! So, lesson learnt? You'll die without a torch light in there. Plus I suppose there isn't any reception. So imagine you are alone in the cave and suddenly your torch dies on you. Say goodbye to the world =D! Anyway, at certain points of the cave, we have to crawl down on our knees, and some times we even needed to practically swim cause it was so low. Haha.

After that, we went back to camp. We took a lorry, and it was cool. Everyone enjoyed the lorry ride the most. There were like trees and the branches so all of us had to duck down dodging the branches or else they will smack into your faces.

To everyone's surprise! The toilet at our campsite was OPEN AIR !!! It was like 3 people have to bathe together and it was open air so when you bathe, you can see people walking around you. Plus, the girls and guys' toilets were very close to each other. However we survived. Sorry I forgot to take a photo for you guys. xD But you guys can imagine!

Night walk was boring an pretty much a waste of time. Night walk = Mozzie feeding time can only attack him. But in the end . It was damn funny. Cause all of use applied mosquito repellent and Vincent who was standing in the center, did not. So he was complaining that the mosquito could not bite anyone, so all the mozzies Teng Han saves the day when he took out his repellent. Haha. I think Teng Han brought his repellent every where he went. xD


THURSDAY:

Had waterfall abseiling 1st. It was pretty much boring. I felt down twice and got my fingers chopped off. OK i was just kidding. My right fingers got hurt, but not that badly that they got chopped off. The water kept splashing into my face and then my contacts went out of place.

4th and 5th fingers. (this is the 3 day after the cut)

OK, ignore the black nails. xD

Then it was the most fun activity of SLC. Water Rafting!!! =D we had 7 people altogether on board. That includes the captain. All the wind in the air and waters in your faces. All the people falling off the raft except me. YES! Vincent emphasize in his blog that I DID NOT FALL OFF! Everyone planned to capsize and before I went over to the side, everyone else fell off except the captain and I. They whole gang pangseh me! It was damn funny cause everyone who fell off got saved by another boat. Now I regret not falling off too. Though Jun Min said falling off isn't that nice, she ended up drinking a lot of water.

At night we had campfire! It was pretty fun, but I almost lost my voice from all the screaming and shouting. They had stupid games but they were really funny, except for those who had to play the game. Then we had an impromptu game suggested by a camp in charge. He made the 4 groups send out the hunkiest guy telling them it was a competition to see who is the hunkiest male. But after they left to take off their tops, he told everyone that it was a competition to see who had the longest armpit hair. HAHA. The guys must be damn embarrass after the game. Vincent did coolbeans proud! Haha. So now you know ...

There were also dares at the campfire and one 3 people repeat the MOCCA advertisement that Gernaine thinks it is really funny. It was really crappy cause they changed the advertisement to introducing the campsite.


FRIDAY:

Finally it was the end of the camp! No more bathing in open air bathrooms, no more sleeping in tents, no more getting bitten by mozzie, no more washing plates, no more FUN !!!

Anyway, speaking about washing plates. It seems like I wash a lot of plates every meal. For the 1st meal, Yong Xiong and I end up washing the plates and cups cause the queue was long so we decided to take over and help everyone else. Then I found out that he was trying to escape pitching the tents. After that, every meals we play Indian Poker to determine who would wash the plates. Even though I didn't lose, I always end up helping people wash up cause I feel bad letting people wash my plate for me. Teng Han was really unlucky. He ended up washing plates every time we played Indian Poker.

Anyway, after clearing up the campsite, we headed to the hot springs. It was comfortable and we had proper toilets! Though I felt that the hot spring weren't really worth it. I soaked in there for barely half an hour. I mean, perhaps shopping was more worth it. I brought 200 odd RM there and I brought back 200 odd RM home. I barely spent any money. I think it didn't even reach 50RM.



SLC was a fun experience. There people there were fun and a great bunch. Sadly we didn't make a contact list. I suggested it to Evelyn, but I think it slipped her mind. I should have reminded her. I think SLC would be an unforgettable experience for me where new bonds and memories were formed.

Transferring Posts is HARD work!

If you see mysterious post that don't seem like in place, do not be alarmed for I am transferring my old posts from my old blog to my new. Sometimes I would forgot to change the date, hence causing it to appear as the 1st post.

I still have around 390 more post to go, though I'm only uploading those post that are more memorable to me. Those boring meaningless post will stay in the old blog and be deleted forever.
AND, I need to shop! I have to grab some stuff from SLC like a water proof torchlight, a pouch, some shorts perhaps. I might grab them on Sunday or Monday as I'll only be going out them. Yes, I know it's kind of late to grab them even NOW, but I only know of the packing list on the student portal like less than an hour ago.

Hmmm... long pants are on my list too, where am I going to get them? I think I threw out my track pants cause who ever wear track pants to sleep in Singapore especially at home? I shall get them too.

SHA-LEY

Interesting how chalet is pronounced as SHA-LEY and not CHAR-LET. (:

*WARNING!!!: Long post ahead

Yes, I'm back with the pictures of the shaley. OK, I shall keep using that word here for the dearest CHUNHAN who pronounces lingerie as LING-GER-RIE and not LAHN-ZHUH-REY (disclaimer: I got this from dictionary.com). So I guess all of you have to put up with SHALEY for the rest of the post. (:


The shaley was fine, not wonderful, not bad, just pretty much OKAY. I must tell you, the place was HUGE and comfortable. Our 1st reaction was WOW! The outside looked amazing and it didn't even look like a chalet as it blended in with the rest of the private housing. If you didn't notice the sign that indicates that it is a chalet, it looked totally like those nice expensive private house! And the inside look good too! With a proper kitchen and 3 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms. There was a dining hall and a big hall plus a few balconies which I dare not take a look at cause it was pretty freaky. There was light behind one door, and Cera told me it was a balcony. But HEY, if it's a balcony, doesn't it mean it is outdoors?
